One man's protest at the airport's restriction on Ejaculate Me So i’m Tiredcarrying electronic devices onboard resulted in him ironically proving the policy right.

The Istanbul Alatürk Airport said an unnamed passenger flung his powerbank on the ground in anger, after he was told that he couldn't bring it onboard his flight to the UK.

The man reportedly got into an argument with security officials at the airport, and the battery pack ignited after it crashed on the ground, Turkey's Dogan news agency reported.

The minor explosion and resultant fire occurred at Gate 710 at the airport, according to Greg Luck, who was nearby:

Nobody was hurt in the incident, according to Channel NewsAsia.

Other photos appear to show the battery pack on fire near the boarding gate.

The U.S. had on Wednesday lifted a ban for laptops and other large electronic devices on flights from Dubai and Istanbul, but the same did not apply to UK-bound flights.

The ban was lifted after enhanced security measures for flights to the U.S. were announced, requiring extra time to screen passengers and personal devices for explosives, reported Reuters.
